You are very limited with the 1.8 mate...panel filters, the airbox mod and exhausts are most popular but dont give much in the way of BHP.......other than that its a bigger engine im afraid.....

Have a look on vectra-sport m8. Andre on there has 198 BHP out of his 1.8, it's a veccy B but it might be worth asking him some questions. It will cost mega bucks though !

the only downer is it's highly likely that Yorkie's car is a VVTi, so many of the mods that this other chap may have done won't really apply..

Best thing i could reccomend is to get it bbreathing more easily..Like Bobby said...apart from that or a remap there's not much more can be done..

Like they said, there is not a great deal that can be done,

Air Filter Mods - something like a K&N Panel Filter, Uprated Exhaust System - Irmscher to Keep the Warranty Good - if not Powerflow are quite good.
If the warranty is not a big thing - and you have money to burn then a nice Remap and Regal Autosports do a Turbo Conversion Kit for £3750 but im not too sure if that will go on a VVTi Engine - can someone else confirm this?

For £3750, and with all the extra insurance as well, I'd sell it and buy a 2.0T and put a BSR remap on it. Think you'd still have change

In fact, without the BSR remap, I'd guess a 1.8 turbo'ed up could only match a 2.0T as standard.....
