Gauging Interest for a North West Christmas Meet / Meal and Karting Session

Just wondering if we have any interest in this kind of meet here in the North West ?

The Go-Kart Centre in Warrington is not only fairly central to the region, but also has something of a reputation.

A quick update. Costs to purchase a Mini Grand Prix Session for 10 drivers would work out at £20 each for approximately an hours worth of driving.

The event / circuit I was looking at is the smaller one for that price. Using the larger ciscuit would need a minimum of 20 drivers and would cost £900.

The session price I was looking at is the one for 10 drivers for an hour on the smaller circuit. Payment would be required "up front" with the booking.

To introduce ourselves - we have 2 indoor circuits!Speedkarting Warrington specialises in race events for adults over the age of 18 *We were established in 1988 and have over 24 years of indoor karting experience. We do actually have 2 totally separate indoor circuits: namely the MAIN ARENA and the STANDARD CIRCUIT.Both circuits offer Grand Prix and Endurance styles of karting as Private Hire “Exclusive” race event bookings, 7 days / 7 nights per week (subject to availability and some booking conditions). Hiring us privately means ‘block booking’ - the price per person is subject to how many people attend your event. Maximum numbers apply; various event sizes available.Our Main Arena also offers Grand Prix and Endurance racing for individuals / small groups by joining them together; we call these “Open” events (Saturdays / Sundays only – subject to availability / booking conditions). Similar in size to other indoor tracks in the North West, this circuit is perfect for groups wishing to experience the thrills of indoor karting but with a budget in mind. Karting with us on this circuit gives you the advantage of our 24 years of indoor karting experience.
Please note: a common misconception we’ve experienced over the years is that the Standard Circuit is part of the Main Arena – it is not. Each circuit is housed in its own totally separate building. Both buildings are located on the same trading estate in Warrington.This circuit is available to book 7 days / 7 nights per week, subject to availability and some booking restrictions. All events on this circuit are private hire. There are three event formats to choose from on this circuit, subject to your group size and preference.The 2 private hire Grand Prix events on this circuit being:1) Mini Grand Prix - Private Hire (Standard Circuit)Mini Grand Prix are timed events; basically we will give you as much track time as we can subject to your standard of driving, punctuality of arrival, etc! The largest, longest running, purpose built indoor karting circuit in the UK. And as of September 2006 now the only 3 level indoor circuit, incorporating the longest Monaco-style tunnel, in the UK. The Main Arena building is approximately 90,000 sq ft, the circuit itself being 1000m in length and approximately 9m in width. Each race will have 7 / 8 drivers participating with the Grand Prix Final having 8 / 10 drivers.The event also includes tuition, practice, equipment hire, computerised timing, trophies for 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd and a bottle of ‘Chateau Mersey’ for the winner!For many, many years the minimum private hire booking was an event lasting 3.5 hours costing £1800 inc. vat: this was payable in full should a party have 10 drivers or 40 drivers! This event is still available for larger groups of up to 40 drivers but your smallest private hire Grand Prix choice now is actually 50% cheaper at:i) A Grand Prix lasting approximately 2 hours costing £900 inc. Each race will have 7 / 8 drivers participating with the Grand Prix Final having 8 / 10 drivers. The event also includes tuition, practice, equipment hire, computerised timing, trophies for 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd and a bottle of ‘Chateau Mersey’ for the winner!This event is the same itinerary as a private hire Grand Prix event but allows you to pay per head for the number of places you require:£50 inc. VAT per person £45 inc. VAT per person with 6 places or more;PLEASE NOTE: This event format is an option on a Saturday from 3pm or a Sunday from 12noon, subject to availability.
3) Shared / Open Iron Man Challenge (Main Arena)
An Open Iron Man Challenge offers a maximum of 20 karts on the circuit but rather than this being a team event it is one kart per person!

For a 40 minute race – the driver with the most laps achieved around the circuit within the 40 mins is declared the winner! (Overall event duration of 1.5 hours maximum.)

This event includes 5 mins practice per person, tuition, equipment hire and a trophy is awarded to 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd placed individuals with a bottle of ‘Chateau Mersey’ for the winner.

We need a party of 10 drivers as a minimum booking to be able to start off one of these events as a shared event.

£60 inc. VAT per person

PLEASE NOTE: This event format is an option on a Saturday or a Sunday from 12noon, subject to availability.

NB – all 20 karts can be booked by one party to convert this event to private hire. Contact us for details.
