Default Tuning box for 3.0 V6 CDTI

I've read a quite a few posts in this section, but most peeps getting tuning boxes have a 2.2 or something.

I would like to know if you have a box fitted to a 3.0 V6 CDTI (particularly Euro 4), and what your experiences are and what impact the tuning box has had on your economy (yes, I know it's difficult to quantify due to driving styles etc., but I still want to know )

I have a list of all the ones I have found on this page - http://xorro.xpmg.co.uk/signum/index.php?page=tuning

    Thanks for any replies!

Don't forget you can also get an Irmscher tuning box as well dude.

To be honest matey, a remap is the way forward. Ask Harry!

Irmscher tuning box is alot of dough for the performance gain IMO. Nice bit of kit though.

Tuning box wise you have the Spider, CRD2 and the Powerklick Green which is going well on the Euro 4 engines. Possibly a tunit module too?

    Remap all the way tho

Irmscher had a powerbox for the Y30DT (i 34 06 008); don't think there is one for the new Z30DT with DPF and Euro4

I've got a Spider box (http://dieseltuning.co.uk/) on a Euro4 3.0 V6 and with regards to economy read this. As good as it is I would still think a remap would probably be smoother, but boxes are a lot cheaper, so you pays yer money.........................

I've just been speaking to a few contacts and we're hoping to push the 3.0 V6 CDTi over the 230 barrier very soon. This is not a remap, this will be with the next generation of tuning boxes.

I'm not giving any details yet, just in case it doesn't come off, but it's looking good so far. Watch out for a new thread by either me or Ian_C.

When i was looking for a new car recently i considered the 3.0V6 subsiquently i done a little digging about what tuning was available for the older 3.0 and the euro 4. The remap is without a shadow the best way forward but if your after something cheaper defo go with the Green system
