Default DIY Alloy Wheel Re Furb

Well following on from this disaster by the wife and a dodgy encounter with a pothole i decided to sort out the damage to all 4 rims myself for now, 1 trip to Motorworld and £15 later i was ready to set about them after washing the car.

Removed both wheels from each side at a time and did them in pairs, heres the before pics:

and after a bit of wet sanding, priming, bit more wet sanding, colour and laquer heres the end result:

Not too bad for now just need to do a bit of compounding on the dry edges to blend it in a bit and should do for a while til i get them refurbed properly.

Heres a few of the car afterwards to finish off:

As GSI said Star Silver, make sure you laquer them aswell, go slightly further with the laquer it helps to blend in better

Looks good mate, just don't use any alloy wheel cleaners on them...

I had to use filler on one of mine that got gauged and I though I'd ask Vx what colour they were so I could match the paint.... Guess what? mmm, you guessed it, niether the garage or Vx customer care could tell me what colour my alloys were. I just blended a close match in the end.
