Tyre Pressure Help - on new alloys

Just putting my new alloys on, but not sure what tyre pressure they should be at. My previous standard 16" were at about 35 per wheel.

These are 18" 225/40/ZR 18
The max tyre pressure on tyre says 50 and thats what the dealer has filled them to, but I've let them down to 35 all round.
My handbook doesn't have tyre pressure for these tyres.

It's a 1.8 SXi 2003 Petrol. 1800kg approx.

the rule of thumb is twice the rim size, so 35/36ish will be fine...just nudge it up to about 45 in the rear if you run it heavily loaded..

I run Mrs D's 18" alloys with the same size tyres as yours @ 36 psi all round and no probs at all !!!

I really don't get these types of measurements.

I use 2.2 on front tires and 2.5 on the back for full load.

Manual says 2.0 front and 2.2 back when normal.

I think that's in atmospheres. Bar pressure. ... I think.... ummm ???
