yep.. any Diesel car ( within reason) can have one if it has either an electronic pump or a common rail system..There is no tuning box avaliable whatsoever for petrols..they need remapping..

I run a GREEN tuning box on my 1.9. Should be about 185bhp, but have to be careful with an Auto + the torque is what matters!

For your 1.7Cdti you need a RED DTUK box. If you join here: & get 30+ posts in you will get a BIG discount!

Or even look at one of our approved traders on here - www.dieseltuner.co.uk

Diesel Tuner's Spider Tuning Box is the most advanced box on the market today, with no exceptions, in my opinion.

OR alternativly, for just £65 and FAR less than other traders, you could get a 'caterman' special box from the ebay seller..all the fun you want but a fraction of the price..There are SO many traders in these boxes, that it pays to shop around....

    Sorry Veccy22,

didnt explain & 3.2 is right - it pays to shop around.

In My experience - the DTUK products are good because: 3yr Warranty, immediate deliver of product. Well developed and full Manufacturer back-up. Boxes are full adjustable to suit your engine and driving needs.

Whether that is worth the extra £££ - is up to you. I have a DTUK as my previous car was a 150 SRi Astra, with the box on I got 5mpg extra and 198 BHP - (RR tested)....

and not to bang on about it, but there have yet been no bad reports about the caterman box either...It's cheap as it's simple and it does the job..I'm surprised other firms can't match it..

it's a case of being able to get something quite comparable in performance of a fifth of the money.. i know what i'd buy..
