Default How on earth do you change the spark plugs on the 3.2 ???

Does anyone know how you get to the spark plugs on the 3.2 V6?
It looks a complete nightmare and that I have to remove the complete plenum... Surely not ??? How would Vx do it as service job if it was made so difficult?

it certainly is a big job..yes all the plenubm has to come off, and most of the hidden rear small bore water pipes..

remove the black ecotec panel on the top of the plenubm and you'll see 5 deep recess's.. these hold torx screws which must be undone..the 6th is hidden under the intake butterfly assy, so you'll have to remove that as well..

airbox out, intake hose off.. then if all the screws are out the plenubm will just lift up enough ( person 1) while person 2 undoes the coilpacks to remove them and change the plugs..

watch out for some bi-mettalic corrosion on the manifold screws as they are steel into alloy and the plating is poor...i had a right game..Bring back the old C25XE.. that was a walk in the park compared to now..
