    Default Spark Plugs on a Z18XER?

    anyone know the recommended change intervals? books says 10 years or 200k but F*** me thats a long time

    I was thining every 20K with Bosch Super Fours?

    Personally i'd change them at every service. Either the Vx recommended ones or if you want to splash out go for Iridiums.

    I think it is unnecessary to change them that often. Mines done 59,000 miles on original plugs and hasn't missed a beat.

    Advances in spark plug technology has greatly improved reliability and durability in recent years.
    To be honest, if the manufacturer is quoting 80,000miles / 8 years (just checked handbook) then why change more frequently? Is there any real benefit, except to spark plug manufacturers profit margin?

    All too often people change things because they think it is a good idea, but has little or no actual benefit.

    No need to change more often with platinum plugs ... so no need to worry !!
