    Default Wax recommendation

What wax do you recommend to use on STAR SILVER ?
I've just bought some Collinite 476s for winter protection but would like your thoughts on an "all round" wax.

I'd go for Megs #21 sealant or Auto Glym Super Resin Polish for Star Silver with a wax like your Collinite applied over the top.

For show winning looks Collinite's #915 or P21S concourse offer really good depth of shine and can be layered to give even more depth of shine

Where do you get these funky concoctions from? Hal-frauds only seem to stock a limited variety of stuff, apart from AutoGlym. I use AG products gladly (AG Engine & Machine Cleaner is a miracle product! ) but I wouldn't mind some decent wax and sealer, when funds permit.

Yep agree with all of the above.........#21 followed by Collinite (476, 845 or 915) would be my choice followed by a top up of Spray wax every now and again......something like OCW (Optimum Car Wax) available from: -

    http://www.motorgeek.co.uk/optimum-sizes-p-167.html

Or Chemical Guys Instawax available from: -

    http://www.carwashnwax.co.uk/

The Collinites are available from: -

    http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/index....ewCat&catId=48

    Bryan

PS the spray wax's only take a few minutes to apply & remove (wipe on.....wipe off) so you could do that after every wash and it will look better and better after each application......just a thought!!

    Thumbs up

Thanks for the info folks ! Much appreciated.
Ed, are you selling the P21s ? Its one i was looking at buying aswell as the Collinite 915 ( after our lads detail day, i liked the finish on your car) .

    I got what i believe to be a bargain deal today, 20 yellow micro fibre towels -400 x 400mm for £8.99 + vat £10.56 !

I was the same as you only using AG products ( which i rate v.v.highly )!
BUT BEWARE - if you take the plunge and start going deeper into the world of detailing, it gets so addictive you gotta know when to stop !!!
I haven't reached that stage ( knowing when to stop! ).
