if you're not happy with the paint job, take it back to the bodyshop who painted it.. it's them who have to sort it out..not the petrol company..
Done That...but Still Need To Know About Compensation From The Garage As The Has Been Of The Road For A Month Now
any pics of the damage.....this sounds like it's got some comedy value!
sorry for the bad paint job though.
If you are fully comp, then the claim should have been processed on your policy and a replacement car during the repair
Any and all other uninsured losses are then claimed for by the legal protection, on your policy if you have included it
If you are NOT fully comp and/or you do not have legal protection, then YOU must begin that process
I am a former employee of BP Oil UK Limited (retail) and could probably help you out, as I am now a contractor with them
I know most of the stores in Scotland, and still know all the Managers
I could then find out how the claim is progressing on ERIC
Contact me by PM
I had my Mondeo hit by a lorry in February 2006, whilst on their premises (BP COCO store)
It took 4 months before the claim was settled, and that is a LONG time without a car!
However, I was given a variety of replacement cars during that time, including a VX Meriva on the week of the accident, and then VX Vectra SRi 1.8 for the next 2 months
Since you live in Greenock, was it BP Branchton or BP Imperial, or somewhere else?

it was the branchton bp any help would be great..thanks
Contact me via PM
I know all the management at BP Branchton, even the Area Manager (CSM)
The accident claim should be recorded on ERIC, all I would need is the date
My access might be limited due to the Data Protection Act, but with your approval I shouldn't have any problems
Sent You A Pm So Information Would Be Great Thanks
As far as I can tell you have followed the process, see PM for details
Your gripe is now with the repair agent
Arnold Clark are usually very good at repair work
Did you have it done at Paisley (accident repairs) or the VX Linwood or VX Lenzie?
I would suspect you had it done by Paisley
Have you taken it back to them for inspection?
If you have and are still unhappy, in which case, contact your insurance company and ask if you can have the work reassessed by either of the VX dealerships I have listed above and any remedial work carried out by them
I had my front bumper replaced and resprayed on my Vectra B by Linwood
Excellent job, as Titanium Silver is one of the most difficult colours to paint on to a bumper
As an aside
I had the front bumper on my New Vectra repaired by NCRC, the first time I have not used a dealership, and NEVER again!
The paint and finish is excellent, but the work wasn't completed and an entire missing / damaged part could clearly be seen
I am still waiting for this to be completed (although it is under the car, so not noticeable)
