urgent help required

found this on my driveway today can anyone think if its from my vec c as i am getting a ferry to england from ireland tonight on a business trip, the car appears to handle ok and is level looking any ideas thx in advance

front left

front right

rear left

rear right

seem to handle aright and goes over speed bumps ok what doe you guys think

Well the first pic does look like part of a broken spring, but if you can't see anything missing on yours then maybe it's off another car? Odd though that it was sat on your drive.

Have you reached in and had a good feel of all the four springs to see if you can feel anything amiss (or missing)? If it is yours, I'd have thought you'd have felt it when driving.

it's the tail end of a rear spring...

..

if it sits level then you may be alright with it..but get it replaced soon..

Sorry if i'm wrong,but that spring can't have come from a front because the strut insert would hold it in,looks like a rear to me,could be someone playing a joke!.

no its broken of and the car makes groans could i do 400 miles in it though or is it time to borrow my dads its off the back right

Thats strange to the point its creepy, an identical piece of spring was found beside my car about a week ago, again it seems fine apart from a noise from the front, sounds like a dry/worn bush????????????????
