If its deffo a choice between the two then I would go for Star Silver. Silver Lightening looks sort of unfinished if you now what I mean, like a sparkly laquer has been sprayed over the primer.
totally unbiased (cough) (cough) silver lightning
ali i have a moonland (sri) in colourand it looks excellent when cleaned, but when i see a star silver SRi on the road it looks GOOD!!
mines star silver and loads of people comment on it when she's sparkling clean ! never got that with the black one i had !!
My old Veccy was Star Silver and when it was polished really looked the mutts. It stayed clean too! My new Black Signum looks even better when clean but only stays that way for a couple of hours
gotta be star silver, it just looks right when its all shiny
Between Star Siver and Silver Lightning I would go for..........Black!!!
Go for the Star Silver. Avoid Black like the plague. My GSi is Black and it is without a doubt the worst paint finish I've ever owned on any car. It shows up every tiny little mark or scratch. It is difficult to even wash the thing without scratching it.
I've had Cavaliers and Vectras for years, but the modern finishes seem incredibly 'soft' - lighter colours are much better at 'hiding' minor imperfections so either one of your choices should be fine.
Thanks everyone it's settled i'll just stick with Star Silver, it does'nt look too dirty until you wash it and then it gleams.
Just washed and waxed the 'B' today, used Meguiars gold wash and their wax. Very good stuff !!!
