Even if it is an auto, I'd still consider this.

Nope - Signum 2.8T Elite (and Vectra 2.8T Elite) are auto, Signum 2.8T Design is manual.

Judging on emmisions, that one is listed as 254g/km and a manual.
Where as the first one is shown as 269g/km so does that make it an auto ?

    Wow - Link

If the VXR is a bridge too far, I think a 2.8T Siggie is my new next bestest

Where do you see the 269g/km data GG? I can see the 254 you're referring to in Caterman's link, but not sure where the 269 is being referred to.

If it's a Signum 2.8T Design, then it's definitely a manual - it's not even a cost option to have an auto on a Design.

It looks like it could be looking at the performance too, 150mph (1mph slower) and 7.5 0-60 (0.4 slower)

EDIT: They have a Design auto in the spec list but when you look at the actual specs it is a manual. The above figures for performance i got from the Elite spec.

EDIT 2: How about one for £12750 m8 LINKY
Loads left over for wheels etc
