My sigbum is coming to the end of its warrant period ( in about 4k miles )

I need to keep it running without having to worry about expensive repair bills. can any one recommend any warranties which will cover all parts, labour etc etc etc withough having to shell out and claim back..? the vx one is about 600 quid a year

Look at the VX Complete Motoring Plan
Includes servicing, breakdown, maintenance and repair, and MOT test repairs
Terms are over 24, 36, or 48 months
The price ALSO includes brake pads and discs, but EXCLUDES tyres and exhausts
Payment can be ONE lump sum, or monthly interest free Direct Debit
It also doesn't matter which engine the car has, they are price by vehicle
The car MUST be under warranty OR Network Q on completion AND must be UNDER 5 years of age or 60K miles
The limit is 100K miles, but you can extend this
If there is less than 12 months to next service a deposit may be payable

I have taken one out on my Vectra 30 V6 CDTI, 40K miles a year for 3 years (taking me to 130K miles)
    £1400

Prices are subject to change, E&OE :
All prices are per month and include VAT
    OPTION ONE Complete Motoring Plan
1 year / 20K miles or "flexible" service intervals (vehicles from September 2000)

    Contract length 2 years / 40K miles
    new : £15
    up to 1 year old : £20
    1 to 2 years old : £25
    2 to 3 years old : £30
    3 to 5 years old : N/A
High mileage supplement : £7 (for every additional 20K miles)

    Contract length 3 years / 60K miles
    new : £15
    up to 1 year old : £20
    1 to 2 years old : £25
    2 to 3 years old : £30
    3 to 5 years old : N/A
High mileage supplement : £5 (for every additional 20K miles)

    Contract length 4 years / 80K miles
    new : £22.50
    up to 1 year old : £25
    1 to 2 years old : £27.50
    2 to 3 years old : £35
    3 to 5 years old : N/A
High mileage supplement : £4 (for every additional 20K miles)

    OPTION TWO Complete service+
    Also available, covers servicing ONLY
Works out at about £15 and £19 per month, but given that most Vectra C and Sigma will only be serviced every two years that's not very cost effective as an owner!

WarrantyDirect (or any other third party warranty / repair cover)
Be cautious, as you normally have to pay for the repairs yourself first, then claim the money back
Some of the repairs may also not be covered

I was with Warranty Wise on my Mondeo (from 60K miles)
I had terrible problems getting claims authorised, although payments were usually paid out within 10 days
A few claims were also declined as the parts weren't covered, even though I had taken out the additional "wear and tear" cover
When the valve in cylinder 3 failed and ended up in the turbo ONLY that part was covered, and none of the actual repair to the engine, turbo, etc.
Not worth the paper it was written on

Have you made any claims yet?

I made 16 claims on Warranty Wise, and just 11 were approved
The other 5 weren't major, but it was enough to make my mind up to dumpt them!
Of the 16 claims, 4 were for tyres and these were all approved

    VX Warranties

Contact your local VX dealership :
    They should phone 0870 752 7018
They can do it right there and then, Mon - Fri 10:00 to 16:00

    Contact them directly :
    You phone 0870 752 7010, Mon - Fri 10:00 to 16:00
They will send out the information pack ONLY, and a Direct Debit form
Initial payment is normally by Credit Card (the first months payment)
Your vehicle also needs to visit a VX dealership for a minor inspection (free), to make sure there are no outstanding maintenance requirements, and the vehicle is checked for authenticity
Obviously if the car is already within manufacturers warranty period, then this is NOT required

they pay the bill its all done at the garage for you that why you need to tell them where you want the work done ,,,
it normall done at there list of repairers or you can have one set up that you want the work done..
and if needs to got to vauxhall they still foot the bill
