    Question Bosch ecu number?

I've spoken to a place that claims it can live map the 1.9CDTI?!!

I would love for this to be true but I am obviously very suspicous.

They say if I give them the model number of my ECU they can confirm this.

Does anyone know what the model number of a Z19DTH's ECU is or how I can find out?

We have a winner people, now for a bonus point, where is it hiding?

I've seen what looks like an ecu down by the right front wheel but is that the right one?

Sorry mate, didn't mean to be rude.

No, they disabled my car at the VXR centre and I had to leave it with them for a week. They couldn't sort it and had to go to Luton and get VX to reprogram it before they finaly managed to get a map into it. The map I got has problems, not least of which is a tendancy to try and accelerate when in gear, without the cruise control on and my foot off the accelerator (not all the time) even if I use the brake it will fight me. Only happens at low revs but it will try to accelerate upto 1200rpm rather than falling to idel speed.

The 3.0CDTI has the ECU on top of the air box doesn't it and I believe that looks very simular to the item down the front right in mine so I'll take the bumper off and have a butchers.

Sorry again if I upset you there.

What a daft place to put an ECU. Is that so when you have a little prang they can say you need an ecu as well.
