    Default Offset

    put my new wheels on my car thursday and i was looking out the window just and for some reason they dont look right so i pulled the invoice out to find he has sent me offset 47 insted of 38 will that make them sit in the arch more .....? they look so silly its the first time i have really seen them in the light, do you think they will change them as they have been on the car 2 days......?

    I think the offset should be 45mm or below.
    Someone will correct me if i'm wrong. If they were supplied wrong, then your within your rights for them to be replaced with a correct set.

    I would leave them to be honest. It will probably handle better on ET47 than ET38.

    If in doubt, get a set of 4mm wheel spacers, which are perfectly safe and this will reduce them to ET43.

    That would work

    My old vec handled great on et 35 ...And they look much better as they will fill the arches out ...Gt Stars and Evo Stars are 35 so recommended by VX as well ...

    while i don't disagree with fitting spacers, make sure you fit longer bolts as well, as you'll be running on 4mm less thread in the hub..and that isn't good at all.... they only run into the hub about 15mm anyway so to lose 4mm..


    If it was my money thou, i'd send them back and get the proper ET as anything else is just making up for their error in my book..

    they look silly , and i throught it would handle worse BEING NARROWER

    taken them off the supplier is ringing me on monday to sort it out told him i am not putting spacers on new wheels
