    Default Alarm Help Please

The alarm on my 1.9 cdti estate keeps going off with no apparent cause.
I have been to it 5 times tonight!
Any idea how to lock the car without the alarm?
Have tried all methods in handbook with no success. ( car is booked in for service on Wed. but in the mean time would like to get some sleep)
    Thanks

You can disable the internal/tilt sensors by pressing the alarm button on the centre console switches and locking the car within 20 or whatever seconds.

If it's a door contact that is making the alarm go off, I'm not sure what you can do. I think just locking it with the key in the door still sets the alarm.

    Thanks Duncan,
I tried deactivating the sensors on the panel and locking it with the key but this still activates the alarm. Trouble is its snowing a blizard so I cant do a proper investigation to cause!

Apart from disconnecting the battery, or just not locking the car!, I can't think of anything else.

If it's still under warrany take it to the dealers it could be the battery in the sounder.I think I heard on hear that it is a common fault and a £100+ bill if it's not covered by warranty as the battery is not replaceable.

    Its booked in Wed.
Managed to lock the doors by sitting in the passenger seat and pushing down all the door pins with the passenger door open. When I shut the door they all remain locked. This still leaves the tailgate unlocked so I have to back up against a solid unit.
