    Default Wanted Sports Exhaust Trim!!!

Is it possible to have just extension pipes on my V6? I have twin exhaust under the car and don't want to pay £700 odd for new irmy pipes. I just want to have SS pipes showing at the rear bumper in the style of Irmy that just plug on. If they are available, anyone know a web adddress where I can see them? or how much?

You can get just the tips - you'll have to do a bit of cutting and fixing. Or you can go for the visible exhausts that come on certain specs of the Vectra (SRi for example). All you'd need to do is get two new/2nd hand backboxes and change them over and get the different bumper trim.

Big Phil, Payney and a few others have done this matey. Have a chat with them. You'd never know they were extensions either.

I think he's talking about his estate. SRI estates don't even have visible tailpipes.
Only the VXR estate does I believe.

I only had a single exit on mine before my Powerflow's were fitted. The rear valance does cut very easily.

on the hatchback, yes. The estate has no tailpipes visible at all unless it's a VXR

A decent fitter should be able to do this matey. Or even lower the exhaust/s.

And the vxr tailpipes are ugly, so that was a waste of time *lol*

Powerflow do a heap of different ends, I am going to go there as well and see what they can do ...

Ah yes, hadn't spotted it was an estate! Other than going the route of the Irsmcher or a custom exhaust, that just leaves the exhaust tips as per his original question.

Mark (GSi3.2) fitted these (with a bit of hacking) to Mrs Gsi's Signum that had the hidden exhausts. Trimmed the valance and you'd never know that they were tips. I don't know where he got them from (think it may have been Halfords!). Maybe one of them will see this and confirm.

VXR is the only estate to have visible pipes.

I have done a Vectra estate SRi with visible pipes, well I say I did it, I arranged for it to be done at a powerflow shop.

I simply got hold of 2 SRi tailpipes, cut off from old box's with good tails, took them along to a powerflow agent.

We got the car on the ramp (2.2 SRi 2.2 direct by the way), offered up the tail pipe under the rear skirt, the guy then said he would make up 2 small bends and weld them to the two box tailpipes and then welded the SRi pipes in place.

Charged him about £70 if I remember correctly. It then looked like what an SRi estate should look like with normal SRi visible pipes.
