Angry Crappy Fogged up Fog Lights

Any one else have one or both of there front fog lights with condensation in them all the time?
Well my front off side one has condensation in it all the time, went to local dealer who tested it and said it was fine
Hmmm, how can a car less than six months old have water leaking in, or at the very least, have a **** seal around the fog light to enable condensation to build up, be fine
Dealers response - If after 20 minutes (that's right, 20!), of the fog light being on, there is still condensation or water in the fog light housing, this is a warranty claim, otherwise it is normal for the fog light to have condensation. Not sure if any of you have felt the heat of your fog light, but after a couple of minutes of being on it is very hot and would have no trouble getting rid of water, my point being, Vauxhall have switched the lights on and waited until all signs of water have evaporated, then added a couple of minutes, to be safe, and said that is the time allowed before a warranty claim.
Doesn't solve the problem of WHY the water is getting in though does it! Crappy, Useless, Waste of time dealers!!!

The passenger side fog light on my car was like that ! When i was fitting my signum fog surrounds i took the lamp out and cleaned & dried it.

Since re-fitting it, it has been perfect !

Yep, it's a common problem - although it's predominantly the near side one. I had the same problem with mine (near side). It failed the 20 min test so it got replaced - has been fine since. Do the test yourself one day. Next time you go for a drive that will be more than 20 minutes, do it with the fogs on (ignore any other drivers flashing you!! LOL). After 20 mins, stop and have a look. If it's still misty, go into the dealer and, politely, tell them that they must be mistaken, it's still misted up after 20 mins and you'd like a new one.

They just dont want to know. Do they expect you to switch your fog lights on every day or so to clear the condensation!!! They are blo ody useless...........

They're just fobbing you off and it's unacceptable. My fog lights are and always have been completely clear. Obviously by random chance mine were fitted perfectly. Given that most are perfect then any misting/condensation shows that the fitting is inadequate and needs to be sorted. I don't understand Vauxhall. They literally spend a Billion pounds to develop a new car (and i think the cars are superb) but then let a bunch of Flash Harry's run the dealerships. At least 50% of the time I have to return mine after the routine service because they've done something wrong. The last two times the oil was 1cm above the max. on the dipstick and there's a notice in the engine saying never allow this as will cause severe damage. If anyone comes across a decent dealership in Surrey I will be very glad to hear of it.
