    Default Exhaust upgrade?

    Hi Guys (and Gals!)

Not been on for a while, been moving house and plowing £££££ into it!!

But I'm calling on the infinite wisdom of the forum , I'm thinking of upgrading/prolonging my exhaust, I after trying to get a stainless steel system right from the manifold back, including sports cat etc.
Is there anywhere that does it and do I need a 2nd mortgage for it?
Really impressed and proud of my motor an wanna hold onto it for as long as poss, an as the engine is nearly bullet proof I jus want the pro longed life of stainless steel!

Is there anywhere that would do it from the manifold down? That looks awesome, guess I'd have to get the dual exit skirt, sri one.

I've emailed the guys at Regal an a very nice man called Paul replied straight away an said that there is NO stainless steel manifold available for the cdti at the moment. And I'd be best off trying a custom builder for it!!! ******.

Anyone know any good custom manifold builders?

Manifold? Are you sure you really want a manifold? Your current one has the turbo bolted to the bottom of it - hell of a lot of expense & fabrication for not-a-lot of power gains. I would say to just go for a big-bore cat-back system - there are plenty of people who will custom build one for the Veccie. A big bore downpipe would also help things, but whilst there are loads of petrol cats on the market (big bore 100 cell jobbie, for example), the oxi-cat for a diesel is a very different animal. For a nice sound, go for a big bore cat-back. For performance, remap the car.

I knew it was all part of the manifold, so guessed it would be an expensive addition. To be honest paddy I jus want it to last the life of the engine, but totally agree about the cat back system, also seen a stainless sports cat for around £180! so all good, an I know powerflow will do me a system for around £360.
The performance is great as it is, just want the pro longed life of stainless steel. But I will look into the downpipe, thanks for the advice.
