But if you were not in a hurry you could pick this lot up secondhand, you would have to really love your pre c though

    I reckon you're looking at -

    Bonnet
    Both front wings
    Headlights
    Slam panel
    Bulkhead
    Grille
probably radiator mounts (for all rads)
It would also depend on whether you have full canbus or half canbus

I'm sure there's a lot more involved. I don't think it's worth the money matey; as said above go buy a facelift.

There is someone doing it at the moment on the sit, and Matt knows someone who has done a GSi. so doable, but as above a lot of work / cash and probably make the car a nightmare to sell on / insure ...

Would like to see some photos of the facelift GSi , a true one off ...

I know a guy who has done a GSi, and to repeat his words "I'll never do it again'

The list you need is :-

    1 x Bonnet
    2 x headlights
    2 x front wings
    1 x slam panel
    1 x lower cross member
    2 x front chassis legs
    1 x front bumper complete
    1 x radiator
    1 x A/C condenser rad

I have spoken to the guy I know who has done this, The can bus system should'nt cause much concern if you are running standard headlights. All the bulb types on facelift and prefacelift are pretty much the same.

So you can use the exixting loom, side lights, indicators have almost identical plugs, but you may need to extend the standard loom to make them reach, but this won't cause any hassle to the can bus as long as you use the correct low voltage wire where required, and standard wire where needed elsewhere.

If your running zenons on your pre-facelift, you will need the standard facelift zenons from a VXR as this is the only car to run non AFL zenons in stadard form.

Once you get these lights, again side light, main beam and indicators are a simple swap over, but you can use the zenon system already in place on your pre-facelift and simply modify the zenon bulb holder to fit the new light.

It is a little more involved than that but the principle is easy. The VXR headlights were the most expensive part of Steve's conversion as he had to buy them new.

hmm, would certainly keep you busy

as above it would be quite expensive to do, dont for get the labour for the spraying and fitting of some bits. but you could get some of your money back by selling the pre-facelift parts on.
