ABS

In this Lovely weather we are having, obviously the ABS is kicking in a Lot, but when it does kick in it sounds really rough compared to other cars, is this a vectra thing or is it a Problem?

nope, not a problem, just noise transferance..Mines been 'banging' like a good'un today....

well thats good then, it is a noisy thing when it really kicks in - which was a fair bit when I was out this morning!

I couldnt hear mine the last time i used it , but i was ploughing onto a field through a fence thanks to the useless abs and cornering brake control brake force distribution , If the car never had all the stupid stuff fitted it wouldnt have ended up in the field .

Tried not to use the brakes much at all today, engine braking for me mainly.. Abs only cut in a couple of times the whole day.

Mine too, it sounded like the front strut had come off a few days ago.

I think that its probably a good idea when you change cars to go find some gravel to test out your ABS so you know what it feels like. Also for regular passengers/drivers to know. First time I ever had it I thought i'd run over a bag of spanners!
As I am occasionally less than sympathetic whilst driving it does avoid having to shout "no you stupid **** its meant to do that!"
