Angry One WIPER ONLY, HELP HELP

This afternoon my passenger wiper stop moving but the drivers side still works. Had a quick look and it looks like its dissconnected itself under the drivers side one which still works.

Has any body had a similar problem or is it pretty simple to fix ??

    Thanks

common problem, if it is still under warranty then take it to dealer, if not you can do a temp repair by reconnecting it and secureing it with a cable tie. Or renew the linkage!!

there is a how2, heath.. check it out, it should tell you all you need to know..

it so common on earlier cars that the dealers actually keep a nice stock of them.. now on the 3rd revision of the wiper rack..

Any probs swapping it yourself, drop me a call..

nah. the how-2 is the proper job...the 'carrier bag' is just a feild fix.. got us back down the M1 in a downpour..that 'fix' came from Capriman..saved our bacon..

Thought i would attempt this today so i got my tools out and put the car in the garage. I could not get the 8loody wipers off anyway i thought i better phone the stealers before i go any further.

YES you guessed it, the wiper arm linkage is on back order, i phoned a few of the stealers and spoke to GSI3.2 and nothing in the UK at all
so i put a couple of cable ties together as a temp repair and will have to wait until the part is in.

Please somebody remind me it is a common vx i drive and nothing else.

yep, shocking level of stock holding isn't it... but apparently ( after speaking to my 'freind' in the UK parts operation at luton) they're waiting for a stock transfer from Opels..then it's ordered units first..new orders 2nd..
