    Default MP3 player, play lists

Sat Nav comes with an MP3 player which apparently recognises track names and lists these in diaplay as a play list

How do you record tracks so they are recognosed by name by MP3. All my recordings just list tracks as Track1, 2, 3 and so on

    Thanks for any help/ advice

i thought it was just the file name of the MP3 file.

I have the albums in folders named as the album name, this comes up as Albums . Then the tracks are individually named as files in the folder. These are displayed as track name when played. All burned as a data disk .

Whilst the track is still on your pc, 'right click' on it and select 'properties' there are all sorts of boxes for different bits of info about the track you can fill in there. If your player supports ID3 tags then some of this info such as track, artist and album should be shown on the display.

    Hello,
let windows Media Player scan you directory of music and when it's finsihed let it update the ID tags (use F1 for full help), that will update all the missing information.
    Regards,
    Andi
