You would never have known it was a modified car if he hadn't of said
Sadly that's another real classic car that should be in original condition, granted it belongs to someone and it's their choice to do what with etc, but Ford made such a good job of that model, it just doesn't need anything like that doing to it.
1100 Cubic Inch... 540BHP and 1000+ Lb/ft of Torque.... V8....that is INSANE, I do like American Muscle Cars, But that is a Bit OTT, but saying that... I wouldnt put it past myself to attempt something like that, might try it on the Vectra
Looks crazy, and putting the engine in and then building everything else around it to fit. Awesome
Pfff! One of the staff writers at Practical Performance Car has had a 27litre Rover Meteor V12 tank engine in (and out several times) his Rover SD1 for a fews years now. It only has 650bhp (@ 2,500rpm!) as the tank engines don't have the supercharger that made it most famous in WW2. Then it was known as the Rolls Royce Merlin and powered Spitfires, Hurricans and Mustangs (which were useless with their original Allison engines) amoungst others.
Yeah, But its Still a V8 - 1100 Ci works out to be 27.94 Litres, Thats 3 1/2 Lites per Cylinder, and I still Prefer the sound of a V8 - Even if it is out of a Tank.
love this sentence....mad me laugh!
These days, with a few notable exceptions, I thought those heady days of mechanical madness were behind us, suffocated underneath an institutional pillow held down over our faces by lawyers, M.A.D.D.women, and the general sissification of our overly-litigious, Oprah-soaked culture.
