    Default Jumping 16" to 18", 17" better

    Hi everyone,

This is my first doubt and my first question, I have a 120CV vec CDTI Z19DT, actually I have 16", I would like to change to 18" but I will note low power or any other problem ?? With 120CV it would be more realistic upgrade to 17"??

I need your opinion , in Spain little people or nobody (i don´t know exactly) have 18" with 120cv in a vec.

    Thanks.

Performance: You'll hardly notice any difference.
Handling: Ride will be a little firmer, but feel more sure-footed.
    Looks: Go for it!

Any increase in fuel or emissions would be very small, certainly not enough to worry about.

Chances are that you will have slightly wider tyres on the 18"s probably 225 or 235 rather than the 215 on the 16"s this will give you more grip so handling in the wet should be better. I went from 16" to 18" and found the overall performance and better look well worth it.

As you'll be fitting lower profile tyres with them, the rolling radius will be virtually the same. This means you'll probably notice no difference is fuel usage or loss of performance. A lot of Vec's have factory 19's (including mine) and Ian C runs his on 20's, so I wouldn't worry about it.
