    Default Snow and the media

Watched the coverage on GMTV this morning and if you were a bit concerned about the snow you must be absolutely bricking it now. I almost felt they would have someone out of shot shovelling snow into shot to make it look worse.

Journey times are going to be longer and you will need to take care but is the world really coming to an end.

The hysteria that the snow brings never seems to materialise when we have flooding or icy conditions, which cause as many problems

    Rant over

Case in Point. My Depot is in Southall. I am in Reading, where it's not stopped since 4.00. I will be on my way in shortly. One staff member who lives in north London reckons he's unable to get into work, as he's snowed in.

Any excuse. Do things sensibly and all will be OK.

What, you mean there's not going to mass hysteria?? I may as well take down the bars from all my windows and put the shotgun away.

hour and quarter to do the usual 17 miles to work, was OK, just slow. Got the odd muppet flying down the outside lane on the dual carriageway.

One word sums up English response to a bit of snow, and it is only a bit - but it makes the whole country grind to a halt, and whips up hysteria by the media.

    PATHETIC is the word.

Especially down south it has to be said, when it gets past your knee`s up here things start to slow a bit, past your waist and the schools shut

Loads of schools are shut in west midland, some (just on the forecast) said they would be closed today.

It's just too dangerous to breath these days, unless its pure oxygen filtered, and at the right temperature.

I'm never leaving the house again, but fear a plane crashing into it too.
I need a bomb proof bunker, any one got one lying around ??
