it could be the old favorite , the injector leak back pipes.. do you have to crank it forever to get it to start again??.. if so they may well need replacing..

did this happen only after the service?? is all the air bled out of the fuel filter?

it should be self bleeding, but is this a 'once only' occurance or has it been had to start for a while now?..

blinking well should be...they attach to the fuel injectors on the engine, so they can't really refuse to change them..

i've just stopped myself typing the reply i'd give to a diesel fitter.. just because i've realised what i'm typing and how dangerous it is to do on the low pressure system, let alone a common rail one , in case someone came along and read this in the future..playing with diesel under pressure on a DTi is dangerous, playing with the CDTi fuel rail is suicidal..

the safest bet, is get the car looked at with a veiw to the leak off pipes, then, if it does need bleeding or the like, they'll do it there and then in a much safer professional environment..that way no harm can come to you or anyone else who reads this in the future..
