    Default Brake warning light

    After setting off with a bit of a judder today because of snow my brake disc warning light came on.....could this be something to do with the wire?....i only got the car yesterday so can't see pads being worn

    was it the brake pad warning light or was it the TC light??..

    Brake pad warning light....i don't have TC...is it possible a wire shook loose?

    maybe, but unlikely... if you've only had the car a breif period, and it does it again, take it back to them..

    Wouldn't the brakes have been checked on the 114 point network Q check list?

    errm... they issue networkQ certs next to the andrex in small rooms with porcelain in..

    NetworkQ checks aren't to be totally trusted.. i've seen cars being 'inspected' without ever being seen by the inspector....

    if it is still lit, or does it again.. take it back...

    Thanks for your help.....i'll get them to come to me as its about a 60mile journey to go to them and back....should it be put right free of charge seems i only got it yesterday

    Surely you mean the brake lights (handbrake / brake fluid) ?
    Or has the MID come up saying "Check Brake Pad"?

    Its the light in the rev counter...i looked in the book and it means pads are worn
