Talking No warranty, But VX will pay 40%.

My signum 1.9 CDTi 150 is over 1500 miles out of warranty and just over 2 years old.

I had a juddering/ hesitation fault, Vx diagnosed the inlet manifold needed replacing @ £500 all in, and that the cambelt needs doing @ £340 all in. totalling £840.00.....OMG.....

I kindly asked the general manager to contact VX for a reduction of costs as from reading on here i knew the manifold was a known fault on the CTDi engines.

Recieved the call from the general manager saying VX are willing to cover 40% of the total costs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So i was looking at nearer £500. but better still i got another call later saying as the manifold replacement required the cam belt to be removed the costs to me would be reduced to between £300 - £400 all in..

So no warranty, no network Q and still managed a crafty 40% off....

This site has saved me a lot of money! so give it a try.

    thanks to all....

It looks like they are only discounting the faulty part, paying the labour for that, and SureGuard will pay for most of that
The cambelt and service components will then be paid for by you
That's the usual method used to settle that, up to 3000 miles out of warranty

I persoanlly have always rated Vauxhalls warranty system, it is one of the best out there. You try dealing with Audi!!

You'll never complain about Vauxhall again!!

SureGuard are the administrators for all the VX warranty claims, whether under manufacturers warranty, extended warranty, Network Q, or any other VX warranty

I do have to agree, VX warranties are excellent, as I make several claims on different vehicles and some are worse than Audi!
Fords warranty company went into receivership in 2004, causing absolute chaos, and it hasn't improved much!
It took 18 months for me to get a replacement SONY CD player, even though the claim was raised the week I bought the car
