Trouble Starting

My engine has trouble starting up sometimes....especially during colder periods.....

HOWEVER!

It doesn't happen in the morning when the car is at its coldest and been sat all night, it only happens at 5pm when leaving work, when the car has only been stood through the day....

Anyone help?

It can`t be sitting much longer at work than at night though ? maybe it is sheltere at night and in a more exposed / damper place through the day ?

How long does it take you to drive to work matey? Is the car fully warm when you get there?

50mins alex - I see what your getting at if it were 'round the corner...

12hrs at home, 8hrs at work, but its no more open or damp I shouldn't have thought....?

do you have to crank it over for a long time? possible injector seals or leak off pipes faulty
are the glow plugs working ok?
a few things to check

Sounds like mine was when the injector seals went.

Hey up mate....yes i do have to trun it over for a bit....should those things you mentioned above have been checked at my very recent service & MOT?

If so i'll take it back and play havoq!

Mine happened about four days after it'd been in for a new gearbox but I wouldn't draw a link between the technitions being under the bonnet and the car breaking a few days after, I'm not that synical. Well I am really.

Network Q did it for me, sorry JCB. I think they did the EGR Valve at the same time. But get someone to look into it before you part with your hard earned.
