Glad I got my Network Q warranty extension!!
Had the car booked in before Christmas, and after New Year, for a few little niggles but only got it in today as I had to cancel the other bookings due to my movements (no, that those movements!!)
The things that were niggling were.....
Dropped it off Monday night so they had it from cold this morning. Got a phone call this afternoon to say that they had found (hopefully!) the problems.
- Chattering noise coming from the Multi-V belt area. Couldn't believe that it could need looked at again as it only had a pully replaced (again) in September under Network Q warranty. Only shows itself when started from cold - particularly if it's a cold/damp day.
- Thunking noise from rear suspension area when going over bumps/rough roads. Had been looked at before and they said they couldn't find anything, but I was convinced something wasn't right.
Chattering noise they reckoned was the water pump - so that's been authorised to be replaced by Network Q. With labour it's almost £400!!
The thunking noise they reckon are the two control arms on the rear suspension - again authorised to be replaced by Network Q. With labour that was a couple of hundred I think.
So got the car back, parts being ordered and car will go back in again for the work. Hopefully that will sort it out.
Oh, had a new Corsa (1.2 Design) as a courtesy car - they're not bad at all! - apart from being ferking useless for my work!!I had a job today and thankfully I didn't need to take a whole lot of gear with me - just a camera bag and a step-ladder. That only fitted in by being hooked over the passenger seat!!

as I reckon I'll have this car into the middle of next year. Got no reason to change it at the moment and when I do come to change it the cars on my shortlist will be more available and that bit cheaper.
