Default And I didn't get to video it!

    Incredible.
Where I work, we have a car park behind the building, which is shared with some flats upstairs from us. The bulding management company employ a dodgy clamping company, who will clamp you if you park wrong, and tow the car a couple of hours later, charging you around 300 notes to get your car back. There's also a dodgy geezer who lives in one of the flats -he's a nasty piece of work, who parks his car and van all over the place. We always said that we'd love to witness the moment when he met the clampers.
Today it happened. He's parked his Laguna in a non-parking spot, and they'd clamped him. They then came back to tow it, and he was waiting for them.
That's when the fun started (and we opened the window, so we could hear!)
The ensuing shouting match ended with them telling him what it would cost to get his car back. He asked what they'd do if he didn't pay, so they said they'd sell the car for the money. He told them they could have the car, but it wouldn't be worth much. The clampers looked a bit confused, as an R-reg Laguna must have some value.
Then he went and got his hammer. The clampers hastily went and hid in their van and called the Police, but he was going for the car, not them. He put all the windows and lights in, but was stumped by the sunroof and windscreen. He then went and found a pallet, and took it to the doors, denting all of them, and the boot and bonnet.
For his final act, he vanished and came back with 2 big bottles of clear liquid, and we wondered what he was going to do next......
They turned out to be filled with water, and he started the engine, lifted the bonnet, and poured 1 into the oil filler. Then he poured the other one into the fuel tank. Then the Police arrived.
After a lot of talk, the clampers towed what was left of the car, and the Police went.
    It was really surreal.....
It was only afterwards I realized that I've got a phone with a camera in, and I should have caught it on video. It's the only time I've ever felt sorry for a clamper!

It was strangely reminiscent of one of those old silent movies where they deliberately wreck each other's cars, but he was doing it himself.

Possibly one of the oddest things I've ever seen. But I do work in Luton, so that may change at any time........

Maybe it was a good way of getting rid of a duff motor. Whatever it was though, it's his car so he can do what he wants with it. At least the clampers might think twice around there now.

Haha! What a thing to see. I guess if it was worth £300 to start with it certainly wasn't by the end.
