Mines now done this, the bulb check came up sayin all the bulbs on the n/s/r had gone out! i got out and checked and the were all workin but the indicator so i popped to halfrauds and upon removing the light plug i noticed the pin for the big fat brown wire has melted the plug around it. (I think the brown is the live?) I cleaned off the crud and plugged it back in and all was good again. Drivin home and 4 times the bulb warning came up for all n/s/r bulbs came on, i pressed the button to clear them each time and they all worked again!

Anyone got any ideas why this may have happened?

    cheers peeps

The Brown wire is the earthing wire and is a known weak point as all the electrickery that goes to all the bulbs then exits to the car body (earth) via just the brown wire.

Yes you can. Direct from the metalwork to an earthing point, there is one below each rear light.
