Are you using Windows 7? If so do Start > All Programs > Windows Mail. It's the 'rebranded' version of Outlook Express and should allow you to link in to your Hotmail/Windows Live Mail account. Then just run that when you start your PC.

I use Outlook 2010 myself, but that means buying Office if you don't already have it.

    Me too.

I only log into my hotmail account when messenger told me that I had new emails, and then it would auto log in when I clicked on the link.

I held off updating to the new skype thing until I was forced to last night. And even then I protested and refused to until I saw messenger wasn't working anymore. I was hoping that skype would be pretty much the same as messenger, but it isn't and it's crap. I haven't got a webcam or microphone connected up to my desktop, so I can't see the point in it.

To get emails, log in to http://www.hotmail.co.uk or use Outlook with Microsoft Outlook Connector installed, or Windows Mail client.

If you've been forced to upgrade to Skype, and want MSN back, download it from here - http://www.filehippo.com/download_msn_messenger/11918/

Then run this to prevent it from forcing you to upgrade to Skype - http://messengergeek.wordpress.com/2...orced-upgrade/

Once you're in MSN as above, you can click your inbox and bring up your emails.

I just go on to www.uk.msn.com & click on the outlook.com tab (that used to say hotmail) on the top right, then sign in as usual

I use Messenger to give me an audio notification of emails as we take orders via email, will this bring that function back??
