    Default Service indicator

    Hello

My car has a service intervall of 30000km ( ca 2000miles) or 2 years according to the manual.

The service indicator turned on, for the first time at 25000km, and now, at 47000 km, it tells me 1000km to next service.

What is correct, the manual or the indicator ?

I know BMW has a adaptive service indicator, but I don´t think the Vec has one. I only counts km?

Your car will be on EcoService-flex which means around 30.000 or 2 years but it is an adaptive service indicator. So pretty normal I think if you are not a slow driver or doing a lot of short trips.
By the way: 1000 km pops up if the next service is due in less than 1500 km; if the service symbol is visible you have less than 500 km.

    Default

    Go by the indicator

The references in the manual are to the MAXIMUM limit, if the indicator gives a longer interval
For example, my Vectra intervals are 30K miles or 2 years
I am currently on 18K miles and the service indicator is showing 17K miles to next service, that gives an aggregate of 35K miles, which is outside the 30K mile service interval
However, if I get to June before 30K miles then my car will be due a service irrespective

You can go over the service indicator and stick to the manual, but if your car is under (any kind of) warranty then it will be nul and void
