Default Fake Bomb Detecting Equipment - Court Case

Yes, the case going through the courts at the moment.

Who is at fault "really", yes the guy convicted of selling fake detectors, BUT SURELY some heads should roll in Government Departments that decided to spend millions of £'s of our money on these fakes without full testing / assessment of the devices and their effectiveness first.

IMO a lot of publicity for the guy behind the devices, BUT nowhere near any indication that whoever is in charge of spending our money on security quite simply deserves the sack, and or independant criminal investigation.

Were he/she to have spent the millions of £ on these devices while working for the likes of any of the Top 100 UK companys, I could guarantee you that they would be signing on every two weeks at the moment.

    Riidiculous !

Seen it all too often mate. This gets the publicity as its designed to save life (well it was supposed to). If you could see some of the stuff bought by the MOD which then turned out to be nothing more than a pure waste of money you would be ashamed.

The old saying in the Army says "Remember your equipment is always from the lowest bidder" They buy low, then spend mega bucks putting it right - Bought right in the first place and 1/2 the problems would not have even raised their ugly head.

FPMSL If I could, I would too at this rate LOL. My point is/was that the REAL Criminal is the guys/department wasting OUR money by spending MASSIVE amounts of OUR money, without due consideration. That guy is the fella that DESERVES to be locked up

    It's not always bought low.

its to do with back hand deals.
gym equipment costs about 19 tines what it would to a normal punter

the stuff the mod save cash on is a joke.

but on the other hand the equipment has improved massively over the last few years

EXACTLY, But what about the departments that spent "millions" of £'s of our money on these gadgets WITHOUT checking them out ? Do the buyers of these deserve to keep their jobs ? I tell you something, if I was paying their salarys (and I am indirectly) then they would all be on the dole right now !

They are all a bunch of ***ts, he had them because he saw that a golf ball was as detectable as a bomb, he's gone down out of sour grapes, the authorities hate being made a fool of, it's like a gang who can mug away at leisure but if you do it back they don't like it.

EXACTLY mate, they are spending even more of OUR money to put him away, but the to**pots that spent "our" money on his gadgets will probably keep their jobs and go on to waste even more of "our" money on other ridiculous buying decisions.

The whole thing just SUCKS !
