Default Colour Coded Mud-Flaps - How Durable?

As per title, I'm wondering how durable colour coded mud-flaps are, i.e. against stone chips etc? My Vec is getting the back bumper painted next week, and the fellow says he will colour code the mud-flaps for me while it's in if I want. (I'll take them off the car first though so it's done properly).

To a point I know it's a difficult question, as it will largely depend on how well the job has been done in the first instance.

So, what's folks experiences, good or bad?

As long as they are done properly they should be ok but will stone chip over time.

I daresay they are bound to pick up the odd stone-chip or two, just not wanting them to look like somebody has taken a blunderbuss to them within a week, lol!

Had thought about doing them myself in the past, but this was my fear. I'll let the body-shop do them, then I can blame them!
