    Default 15" Vec B alloys on a Vec C????

    Peeps

Today I (well, Drinky really) noticed my front passenger tyre looked flat, so we got a compressor out and pumped it up. By the time I'd had a brew and set off home the tyre was flat again, so it had to come off. To my horror, the inside edge was in the process of splitting. Both front tyres are very close to the legal limit anyway. I had to drive all the way from Nantwich to Manchester with the Emergency spare; not a nice experience.

I won't be able to replace both these front tyres until the end of next week, so I've had to dig out a pair of 15" 5 spoke Vec B SRi alloys. They seem to go over the brakes OK, and after a very careful drive around the block, all seems to be OK.

Will I be doing any harm to the car by running with 15" alloys with 205/60 tyres? I've checked on a tyre size website and when my speedo is reading 60mph, I'll be travelling at 59mph, so all is fine there. I just want to make sure no one knows of any other reason why I shouldn't run like this?

    Thanks in advance
    Alex

Cant see it doing to much harm, as you say, so long as the brakes fit inside ok.
Doesn't sound like the overall diameter has changed much either, so again, should be fine, specially as a temporary measure.

Should not do any damage if the rolling circumference is the same.............but it will look a bit strange

Just checked the difference and you will be doing 58.1mph Alex so at least it is under

It looks a pram now. 19's on the back and 15's on the front. I'll get some pics up tomorrow.
