    Default DAB & Bluetooth

Hey I'm wondering if anyone can help I've seen two separate products on the market that I would like in the car, its the AutoDAB interface and an IOplay bluetooth system.
My question is can I have both the systems side by side because it's my understanding they both plug into the auxiliary on the CD70 by way of a wiring loom.
Is this even worth doing of should I put money aside for something like a pioneer headunit that does all this (and sat nav, I don't want to lose that)
    Thoughts???

The IOPlay sits on the loom after the radio by way of a device called an SOT Lead. It basically sits in between the speakers and the radio, so when you have a bluetooth call, it simply cuts the radio out and plays the bluetooth call or A2DP music stream through the speakers instead.

The AutoDAB plugs into the radio by way of a second SOT-style lead (as this one plugs directly into the AutoDAB box) and as such would be overridden by the IOPlay system when it becomes active (call/music stream etc).

Your connections would be as follows:

[radio] - [autodab loom radio side] - [autodab unit] - [autodab loom car side] - [SOT loom radio side] - [ioplay] - [SOT loom car side] - [car loom]

I'd not like the job of hiding all of that extra wiring, but it should be doable. You'll need to get a fully-populated SOT-122 loom such as this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SOT-122S-V...item3a56c6dc19 The SOT loom will also need connecting to a switched live to provide power to the IOPlay kit, the cigarette lighter plug is the easiest place to obtain this from.

For reference, the picture of the AutoDAB loom is below, you can see how it would plug into the SOT loom above.

ive had the autodab and its not a reliable unit.

i personally have been back at halfords 4 times with the unit and each time it went tits up.

the unit was replaced on each occasion and done the same, so i bit the bullet and got an exchange for the pure highway 300di
    and its been faultless.

the autodab hasnt had many good reviews

Excellent info guys. I might just bite the bullet and get a headunit that does the lot then. Provided the funds are available eh
