    Default Cleaning exhaust tip

    Hello

My exhaust tip no longer looks silver and needs a clean.

Whats the best thing to use to scrub off all the muck. Brilo pad? wire wool? Kitchen roll? I don't want to damage the tip and scratch it but need something that will be able to remove the muck off. Also shall i just use soap and water or any other ideas?

    Cheers

Depending on your tip size also, you can do the shoe shine technique with a rag hooked over and pull down with each hand quickly, gets a nice bit of friction and comes up a treat, well with the right stuff as suggested above

If there's a fair bit of baked on carbon crap on it, Mr Muscle foaming oven cleaner works ****** well too. A soak and rub with that and a quick going over with some metal polish and it'll look great.

Be carefull with the oven cleaner tho, I mirror polished my cam cover and then Mr Muscled the inside before putting back on the car, it burnt through the finish and had to be re polished from scratch! That was Ali however...
