there easy enough to do fella but unplug them before you undo them
Best getting a O2 sensor socket saves a lot of problems
Agree 100% - an open ended spanner WILL slip and round the sensor off if its tight and been in there a while. A O2 sensor socket (22mm IIRC) is a 6 sided socket with a slit in so you can get it on the sensor accommodating the wire. I wont change one without using my set now.. Rounded off too many - and too much hassle to then heat / grip / remove etc. Also - don't contaminate the sensor end of the new one with ANY fluids that you may use to spray the old one before removing - like WD or plus gas etc... Keep it covered literally until you insert it.
I changed my rear O2/lambda sensor last weekend. The from one is very simple. The rear one has a long cable from the sensor to the engine which goes through little gaps. I done mine myself. Jacked it up. Used mole grips to undo it ( bit of a struggle but got there in the end) and fed it back through the gaps. Not too difficult and it was worth it. You can buy ones that come as a whole or one where you have to connect them up yourself.
