    confused Signum CDTI 150 Blue Smoke??!!?? HELP PLEASE...

    Hi all.
    My signum CDTI 150 has done 147k and it was running perfectly until this morning
    Start the car from cold and there is a plume of blue-ish smoke, as soon as the smoke has cleared,usually 4 seconds then the car does not smoke at all and ticks over/runs perfectly, but i can hear the turbo hissing when accelerating.
    After driving a few miles it smokes heavily from the exhaust and also smokes from the pipes going to the turbo.
    I popped in one garage and they checked the pipes going into the turbo and out of the intercooler and they were wet with oil. ( been over filled with oil)
    The car is running sweet as a nut and it only smokes after i have driven a few miles. Then if i stop the car for 10 min, and drive away there is no smoke at all for a few miles ?!?!!?
    The lad at the garage said i need a new turbo, but apart from the hissing its working fine.

    I wouldnt mind a bit of oil in the pipes, any turbo diesel car ive owned or worked on has this.. But when they said was overfilled did you check the oil level or let any out??

    Hi. Engine oil is fine and oil level is also ok. I bought the car 2 months ago and i have only done about 1200 miles.

    How long as it been driven over filled,have you drained oil down to correct level,a old mate did this same thing to his vectra a few years back but drained oil down to correct level ,it still smoked abit for a week or so until it had got rid of the oil in the pipes and cat,but it did clear eventually,give it a week or so and see what happens .

    Right, car kept pouring blue smoke from exhaust so i took it to a couple a garages and they all said that the turbo seals went, and the turbo itself was knackered :'( . So i decided to take the car to a local garage to replace the turbo with a new one (£440.00) and i also replaced the cam belt, alternator belt, new glow plugs, clutch and dual mass flywheel (£605.00) plus labour. Picked car up on Saturday at 5pm, and to my shock, when i started the car i heard this clunk noise coming from the brand new flywheel. I thought something was not right there... then drove off home and again to my shock there was no power below 2000 RPM in every gear, but once it passed the 2000 RPM mark the turbo kicked in and went quite well. I also noticed a vibration on the gear stick whilst driving but its not continuous (wasn't there before). Phoned the guy in the garage and he said i should drive the car until Wednesday and then if it doesn't get better to take the car back to the garage, but i didn't wait and went there today. He confirmed that the clunk noise comes from the flywheel when i start the car and he does not know the reason for this massive turbo lag. Booked the car in for Wednesday and they will have a good look around. He said if the turbo and the flywheel are faulty the parts will be replaced under the warranty but that does not cover the labour (???) as it's not the garage fault. Can you guys please shed some light coz i am totally lost here. (and skint after this bill.)

    I presume the smoking has gone matey,i would seek advice on the labour issue ,i would not be happy its not your fault that it wasnt fitted right(that cant be right) go to citizens advise or try a search on google(dont pay for that labour mate).
