Default Vinyl wrappers, car graphics guru's

Need some advise on vinyl graphics, when applying graphics or full wrap to car, do you use any edge sealant?

Certain edges on my large irmscher graphics are peeling up from the edges (wheel arch, door ends)

Just need some advice on either what product(s) to use or how to minimise/stop edges peeling.

How was they initially applied bigmac? Im a proffessional wrapper. We only use sealent pens when the vinyl is heat stretched so the glue weakens, i.e wing mirror edges etc... Decals that dont need to be stretch applied shouldnt need sealent. Its more than likely the reason its failing is due to cheap vinyl or not applied at 22 degress to allow the glue to bond properly to the car. Ideally with any wrap/graphic we like to give it 24 hours before facing with outdoor elements (only in winter) summer it can go straight out. Hope that helps

my friend wrapped his audi and obviously he had to wrap it under his arches etc and all the little crevices , he used silicon sealent VERY finely like a thin layer that went over the wrap and the body so it made a protective seal ( it was under the car so you couldn't see it ). have you tried heating it up a little maybe with a hair dryer or something that might help the glue come back to life and use some thing like a cedit card to flatten it to the body. this is only from what I can remember lol where are you based , might know someone nearby who can help ya

There is also not much you can do now its already started peeling as the glue will be useless as its been lifted too long and failing, and a sealent pen alone without active glue is not enough. They need to come off mate, and done properly.

Apllied outside and it was mild I sprayed side of car with a mixture of water and washing up liquid (small amount) then flattened and removed air bubbles while using low heat (hairdryer) Then trimmed with stanley blades.

Maybe not the beat way of doing it I have a new set, so might wait until better weather...

Realise I cant stick edges down again now, so have new set. Just thought sealant pen may give some extra protection.

It will give extra protection when applied to freshly laid graphics and the glue is fully sealed down. When the graphics are on, go round the edges with the sealent pen.
