Who has one, what do they cost (Compared to normal insurance) and what criteria do you need to meet?
Was looking into them (I'm not old enough yet) an from the lads I know that have them basically what I'm paying on standard insurance ATM
A standard one is usually upto 4 personal vehicles an covered to drive any vehicle upto 40k value
I currently have one at the moment I pay just shy of a grand a year and have unlimited amount of vehicles I can insure I have a cover limit of 65k for customers cars.
If you are buying and selling cars can you tax them with it?
can you drive cars owned by you? ie registered keeper on logbook, do you ring them and give the reg for that car so it shows as insureed? or it just for buying and selling random cars?
Yeah I have 5 of my own cars on the policy at the min all registered to me and not my garage and yes I can tax any car or bike wether its registered to me or not (I only tax mine or the odd sales car I get)
I up date the mid myself online
Is that the going rate for a policy or does it vary loads like normal policy's?
i've got one
i'm only covered for cars and light commercals no bikes unlimited vehcles and 25k each car value for customers cars i paid £700 last year with 2 years no claims on traders and 2 years private vehicle dreed to think what it will be this year as a few of my mate that have got them who were paying a lot less then me have had their renewals come in at way over 1k and have even removed things from the policy
i went through dna insurance last year as they are pretty good at getting the qoutes down but before that i went through a company that does monthly motortrade policys but thay also qoute for yearly policys aswell my first qoute with them was £130 a month but when they qouted for a yearly policy it come down to just over £600 for the year but then they traid to sting me after 2 years of being with them (£1300) so told to get stuffed and went through dna instead
Do you have to be a Trader for a Traders Policy ?
I assume Trader's Policy means what it says on the tin ........ You are a trader that needs to cover a few cars in one go , whether it's business or personal .
Can a man on the street , be him a Donkey trainer or Rocket Scientist get a Multi - car policy for under £ 1,000 ?
Or is that a different kettle of fish ?
Basically ............ If there is ........ What is the difference between trader policy and multi-car ( more than the usual 2 cars ) policy and is there much cash difference too ?
I would guess that the trader policy involves selling & the Tax man maybe and a multi - car policy just lets you have a few cars to own only .
L.O.L. ,,,,,,,,,My lass would love it ..... me having 5 cars parked out side ........ NOT .............. We don't even have a drive .
Please enlighten me , thanks .
