Default PLEASE Help at wits end!!! P2279 fault and tried EVERYTHING

    Help please
I am getting the drivetrain warning light (orange engine/gbox light !!) when engine under load, ie on motorway going up hill etc etc
Light come on and loose power for an instant and power affected under 2000-2500 revs but seems to be OK at low speeds/around town
The light goes off after a day or so and returns when you next put under load, but if the circumstances which bring the light on arn't there, meaning if I just am pottering around town all week the light stays off.

    What I have done...
Removed and cleaned EGR Valve twice
    Cleaned boost sensor
    Cleaned throttle body
changed one of the small 4mm id vacuum pipe

Done all of the above but still exactly the same so I replaced the EGR Valave with a brand new one but still exactly the same.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am slowly but surely loosing the will to live.

I am tempted to take it for a diagnostic check but I dont think it would pick it up as no fault light/fault code generated when stood idle or driving round town. Would take it to the stealers but I am positive they would work their way through what I have already done and would cost a fortunes.

    Help pleeeeeease

    Shaun

I had these symptoms on my 1.9cdti 120ps which turned out to be the vacuum hose - I would double check all of these as you have only replaced one.

Could also be a split/leak anywhere in the intake - so hose from turbo to intercooler, intercooler itself, hose from intercooler to throttle housing. I have heard of, but not seen, smoke test units to help find intake leaks as they can be tricky to see particularly on the intercooler. Maybe someone else will know good ways to test these.

General intake fault, could be many things...

    Hose leak is extremely likely
