    Default A favour...

I don't suppose anyone's got a torque wrench that will go as low as 7.5nm with an 11mm deep socket that fits on it I could borrow somehow have they?

Need to fit my tpms sensors before I get a mobile tyre fitters out (would rather do that bit myself).

Problem with living out in the sticks is there's nowhere near by

Didn't bother using a torque wrench on mine mate, just nipped them up and checked for leaks.

Yeah did consider it, but having spent a fortune getting everything brand new, just wanted to make sure it was all 100%

did mine yesterday down at my usual place.. Its soo easy to tighten them too much and air escapes, back it off and literally did it up finger and thumb tight and that was it.

I found this on another form dedicated to KTM bikes.

7nm = 0.713kgm. In laymans terms this means hanging a 710gm weight at the end of a 1m long bar (torque wrench/breaker bar). If the bar is 600mm long the weight required would be 1kg and for a 300 long bar the weight would be 2kg etc etc
(credit goes to Mannyroad on http://www.ktmforum.co.uk/general-di...eally-how.html)

    Might be worth a shot?

no sorry mate got the socket but not the torque wrench, a diddy 1/4 inch torque wrench is something i need but cant justify atm as wouldnt use it much, will get one for my tpms sensors though

    Default

I have one and did some steel valves in to some rims I recently refurbished. That torque was really not that tight. I have a 3/8 small torque wrench and it is around 300mm long and it really did not take much to tighten them. So I would suggest just to nip them up and you should be fine, especially if the seals are new. You would be more than welcome to borrow them but at 1 1/2 hours away may be a tad too far.
