    Default Ebay wheels fitted

You may remember that I had put a daft £100 wine fueled bid on a set of Omega MV6 wheels. I collected them on Saturday from Keighley.

I have fitted them straight away, whilst they really could do with a re-furb to make them perfect, they are really in pretty decent nick the way they are and actually slightly better then the ones I took off (Standard 16 inch Designs which I no longer need). I am going to run them for a while the way they are.

They currently have 235/45/17 tyres on them, which I know is not a standard Vectra fitment, however the tyre size comparrisson calculators shows that this is an almost identical match to the 215/55/16's that were fitted.

I am going to put a full set of new tyres on and thinking of fitting Kuhmos.

Anyway now for the photos, I know it is high at the front and may do something with the front ride height later?

Well lads and lasses, what do you think??

Think they look pretty good, and certainly a bargain for the money.

Like you say though, it does seem to be sitting rather high, even for standard springs. Were the pictures taken before it had settled again after having it jacked up?

Thanks for the positive comments, I must admit I do like them and they are certainly different. I didnt realise they are actually Irmscher Ronal wheels.

Yes the front photo was taken just after they were fitted, however my Veccy has ridden a little bit high after the springs were changed about a year ago!! Maybe need to get some slightly lower........

Not my cup of tea personally - to me they look a bit too 'soft' against the angles of the vec. I think that's why wheels with defined spokes work well on the vec C, they complement the more angular lines on the bodywork.

Of course, s'not my car, so if you like them then that's all that matters!!

The wheels look good, and were a good bargain, and different. I actually fancy solid wheels on mine, ie no gaps.
What springs did you have changed, front and/or back?
Your front looks about as high as mine (2008 Design HB), which is on original front springs.
The rear springs on mine have been changed, supposedly with the correct after-market springs, but it is definitely about 30mm lower. Which is good.
The back now feels a bit firmer, but still looks slightly higher than your car.
But I now need to replace the front springs but not sure what ones to get.

    Thanks Tony.

Mine is a standard Design model, the front springs were replaced with after market ones and always looked a bit high, maybe should have got SRI springs fitted instead. I do not want the car to ride too low as I go across some quite rough ground. But I do not like the nose up stance it has now.

I actually have rubber donuts in the back springs for when I have the car fully loaded.
