    Angry WARNING - Motor Depot in Hull

    Hi all, just a little rant ive gotta get off my chest about the service department at Motor Depot, Clarance Street, Hull.
    I was very happy with the sales side of things (just saying that as the salesman had a vectra and i advised him to check out this site)

    anyway, yesterday morning i goes to get in my new car to go to work(only had it 2 weeks!!), but i noticed a flat tyre, so i thought oh bu99er ill have to have the daft space saver on today. so i go to take my wheel off but guess what, motor depot havnt supplied the locking wheel nut key!!

    fortunatly i was able to drive my dads astra to work. so anyway i rang motor depot that morning to find out what could be done - thay said thay would come to get the car and take it away on a lorry, remove the locking nuts, sort the tyre out and fit me some new locking nuts and give me the keys. excellent i thought!

    until they told me thay didnt have a lorry to bring it back, so had to go get my car and leave my dads car there, then take my dad for his car.

    now this is where i got realy annoyed - firstly the car was completley covered with dirt, which is wasnt when they took it, to the point where i couldnt see out of the side windows! second, every single wheel had been damaged where thay had removed the locking nuts and they look a right mess now. and third, ive got a nice dent in my passenger rear wheel arch and someones brushed up against the car while its dirty which has probobly left me some nice fine scratches.

    sorry to rant on guys but im realy annoyed with them at the moment, but ill see what they say tomorrow when i go to complain. ill post up some pics of the damage soon.

    I am always amazed that "some" people can have two modes of doing work.

    When they work on a customers car it gets treated like ****, but when it comes to their own pride and joy they probably treat it with kid gloves.

    Hope you get it sorted mate as I always had good dealings with Motor Depot of Hull

    But I would be p!ssed if they did that to my brand new car....

    Sounds like a job for trading standards if you dont get any joy complaining the the manager.... good luck - and dont let them fob u off !

    dont worry ill make my feelings known to them. ill be happy if they find a car like mine with the same milage on, and just swap the wheels over (as long as those arent damaged) or pay for a refurb, and then just have the dent repaired.

    if not then as you say, its a job for trading standards.

    Bit of advice, if they don`t agree to fix it when you are there, don`t drive the car home, leave it there. This will strengthen your case to reject the car if it comes to that. Tell them why you are leaving it as well, it may be enough to get an agreement, just tell them you are going to reject it .. Then go to cab for advice ...
