Default Car judders occasionally, but doesn't stall

I have the Vectra 1.9 (120) and it judders sometimes, its starting to do it more often.

I use to have an Astra 1.6 8v where it juddered and if you don't keep the revs up it'll stall. (Foot on throttle at red lights for eg)
this turned out to be the good old EGR valve where I had to get it blanked off and also tell the ECU to remove it.

Could this be the same problem?

    Thanks for reading!

Might be the start of 3rd injector problem, that's how mine started, if you unplug third injector electric plug on 3rd and either 2nd or 4th and the 3rd is brittle and more worn looking then it could be that.

    Thanks for your reply.

Is this a difficult job and how do you get to it. Expensive? If it is this would there be a fault code? What happens if i was to leave it?

    cheers

120's dont tend to suffer from the injector loom problem, seems to only effect the 150 engine. Could well be the EGR or the throttle body... take them off and give them a good clean, easiest and cheapest option by far.

Haha thanks for the advice mate but i wont be doing it myself. Will probz just leave it. If i do a pedal teick will it come up with a code assuming you can do it on a 1.9 cdti without causing damage

    Hi guys,

On the Romanian Opel (Vauxhall for UK) forum is spoken about a possible problem related to the camshaft, valves, cam followers (look like glasses). The 120 horsepower engine is known for the tendency of "rounding" of the cams. It happened to me. I replaced the camshaft but the juddering problem has not disappeared. Then I came across a service manual which is talking about the tolerancies that must exist at the intake and exhaust valves. On my car now, those tolerancies are double and even triple than normal. And that because I replaced the cam followers (I am not sure this is the correct English word for them but hopefully you get it, they look like some small glasses and the valves are punching them when the engine works) and the "pills" (they are like coins, on top of the cam followers) without measuring exactly what tolerancy should have the pills vs the valves (somewhere around 0.20 - 0.3 for intake and exaust valves), in order for the valve tolerances to be accroding to the manual.

I am waiting now to complete the intervention and will get be back with details. What I know is that a too big or too small clearance can cause juddering, noisy motor or "un-round" engine.

I came upon this possible issue after cleaning and afterwards replacing the EGR, the throttle body, the MAF sensor, the vacuum pump, updated the ECU software...nothing worked for me.
